When Jesus Christ was crucified, there were two other persons being crucified at
the same time.  They were condemned criminals being crucified in due process
of law.  These three persons, within speaking distance, hanging on crosses,
expected to be dead before the end of the day.
One of the criminals said to Jesus, “If You are the Christ, save yourself and us.”
The other criminal “answering, rebuked him, saying, ‘Do you not even fear God,
seeing you are under the same condemnation?  And we indeed justly, for we
receive the due reward of our deeds; but this man has done nothing wrong.”
“Then he said to Jesus, ‘Lord remember me when you come into your kingdom.”
Jesus answered the second criminal and said, “Assuredly, I say to you, today you
will be with me in Paradise.”
In the conversation of these three, hanging on crosses, gives to all mankind the
simple Gospel -- the requirements of salvation -- all that is needed to be ready for
the ‘day of judgment’.

The second criminal made these statements;

“Do you not even fear God –“

** Thus he acknowledged his belief in God.

“We receive the due reward of our deeds –“.

** Thus he acknowledged his sins.

“This man has done nothing wrong –“ and he called Jesus “Lord”.

** Thus acknowledging Jesus’ righteous life and deity.

“Remember me when you come into your Kingdom.”

** Thus he simply asked to be remembered.

The preparation for Judgment Day ---

***Believe in God our Creator –

***Acknowledge and confess your sins –

***Believe in Jesus’ righteous life, His deity and make Him 'Lord' of your life.

***Ask Jesus Christ to save you – and remember you on Judgment Day.

Please know that if you do not die today, that you have the responsibility of Bible
study, Baptism and living your life according to the ways and teachings of Jesus
